Using drone camera as its tool, <Flat-City> recreates the modern cityscape. The flow of time and movements of objects, which is eliminated in viewing online-map service, are at constant play in this work of art by the perpendicular recording of a drone. Images documented from different locations fragmentally keep appearing, drifting away, and finally return as a landscape comprising a whole to draw a media-landscape.
<평평한 도시> “평평한 컴퓨터 화면안에 담긴 현대의 풍경은 마우스의 수직의 줌인아웃 스크롤 운동으로 도시를 이해한다” 는 개념으로. 온라인 지도에서 가상으로 이루어진 멀어지고 가까워진 깊이의 움직임을 실제의 물리적 공간에서 드론으로 모사하여 도시의 풍경을 재현한다. 서로 다른 위치에서 재현된 영상은 각 좌표의 프레임으로 나눠져 풍경의 파편과 전체를 수직으로 이동하며 펼쳐내는 새로운 감각의 미디어 풍경화로 재생된다.
